Named in honor of a sea turtle, since its beginning, it has always focused on the experience of the journey, not reaching the destination in haste. The creation, expansion, and success of Hotel & Spa Poco a Poco is thanks to the vision of a local Costa Rican with a profound love for Monteverde. Inspired by its natural beauty and mentors, he paved the way for what is now a collection of diverse businesses including the Treebū Hotels brand.
Hotel Poco a Poco, which translates to Hotel Little by Little, depicts its growth over its genesis in 2001, opening with five rooms, it is now a leading hotel in Monteverde with 40 rooms, a Restaurant, Spa, a covered pool, and jacuzzi. In addition, an event venue, nature trail, gym and firepit have been added more recently to add additional comforts, relaxing spaces, and creative possibilities for Hotel Poco a Poco´s discerning guests.
The Hotel & Spa Poco a Poco and its sister properties, Monteverde Country Lodge, Sibū Boutique Hotel and La Fortuna Lodge, became the Treebū Hotels in 2020 as part of the Symphony Group. This ever-growing family of companies and their collaborators are an integral part of the “slowly yet surely” journey and its achievements, little by little, embraced by the Monteverde community.
